About

I grew up near Winston Salem, NC, and have had a love of cycling and the ocean since I was a kid. I went to pharmacy school at UNC-Chapel Hill and spent two summers working at dive shops in Roatan, Honduras, where I earned the PADI Assistant Instructor rating.

After graduating, I fulfilled my dream of moving to Hawaii and lived there for 5 years. I met my wife – who grew up close to Onomichi – in Hilo, Hawaii.

We (along with our son, named Hilo) now call Mukaishima home. I absolutely love the outdoors and almost any sport that will let me enjoy it, from cycling to SUP to scuba diving. I love helping people discover this beautiful part of the world.
